STONE BOTHERING
2025-2026Â
this is my most recent project and one that I am continuing. It Originated with me looking into aspects of myth, folklore and Dartmoor, how being raised on Dartmoor has inspired a love for these things as well as being raised in a pagan household. My mother is a pagan prison chaplain and my dad has a love of history and folklore.

I started with experiments on canvas and wood as I wanted to branch out with my materials. I explored a lot of different mediums, but was ultimately drawn to oil painting as the main material for this project
Â
I focused in on the neolithic element of this project by looking at Family photos of us at various stone sites. They were very importance to me growing up with access to them but also their importance to me as structures in which I’ve found ways to ground myself to the Earth.
